Filmmaker Bio

Katy Scoggin is a documentary filmmaker with a background in fiction film and sculpture. Flood is Katy’s feature directorial debut. Her other feature doc credits include Co-Producer & Cinematographer on Laura Poitras's Oscar winner CITIZENFOUR and Cannes Directors Fortnight premiere Risk; Associate Producer on Emmy-nominated The Oath; and Producer on New York Times Op-Docs “The Program” and “Death of a Prisoner.” Katy has worked as a cameraperson on in-progress feature docs Tree People (dir. Regina Sobel) and Adam's Apple (dir. Amy Jenkins) and on Tribeca Film Festival premiere Following Harry (dir. Susanne Rostock). Katy lives in Chicago and New York City.
